About Us

Lake Oswego Community Rowing (LOCR) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, operating from the Charles S. Brown Water Sports Center on the Willamette River. LOCR is the only boathouse in the Portland area to offer sculling and sweep classes to both juniors and adults (masters). We offer sweep rowing and sculling for all skill levels from beginners to national competitors, and all ages from juniors to adults.

LOCR operates year-round and is on the water from mid-March through mid-November. We participate in regattas around the Pacific Northwest and beyond. During winter months, we offer land-based techniques and conditioning training.

Individuals may either take classes (under the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation umbrella) or become a Junior or Master team member.
