LAURA MCARDLE

Coach
Learn to Row Lead
laura@lorowing.com
As one of the coaches for the Learn to Row program Laura is excited share her love of rowing teaching others. As a youth she was a competitive swimmer for 12 years; now thirty years, five children, and 17 moves later, Laura has found her way back to the water! When Laura and her family moved to Portland three years ago a friend invited her to come to the LOCR boathouse and she has never looked back. She quickly joined the LOCR Masters and enjoys training and rowing competitively with them. Her love of the sport also led her to become a certified USRowing Referee in 2016, and when she’s not racing you can find her at many of the local regattas in that capacity. Three of Laura’s children are also rowers… which makes dinner conversations tons of fun for them but probably pretty boring to any non-rowers!
